The name on the drawings is Mary Megee and they appear to be in pencil. I was not a zoology teacher or even took a class in zoology. For my science general education requirement I took Botany but these drawings are interesting and appear to be well done. It was interesting to note the date of the first drawing "Squamous Epithelial Tissue" dated on 9-11-47. Who knew that 9-11 date would be a significant date 54 years later (9-11-2001). The drawings and index are in good shape, but the scrap book is brital and falling apart. PRICE: $65Picture

WA69COMPLETE SET OF 6 CARLOS HADAWAY BUDWEISER PRINTSCarlos Hadaway is a well known western artist. They appear never to have been framed and look to be in original unused condition. They are in excellent shape and came from a collection near Prescott, Arizona. I have had them in my inventory for more than 6 years and finally decided to bring them out. As I said I was looking to see others available but have never seen any like these. PRICE: $995Picture

WA066OIL PAINTING BY RICHARD DALEYThis painting titled "Dakota" was entered in the Wisconsis Artists Federation at the Milwaukee Art Institute April, 1940, according to a sticker on the back of the painting. It was to have a selling price of $250 at that time. I did a google search on that name. It would of been helpful to have had a middle initial. The name Richard Daley brought up names like the Chicago Mayor, plus artists and photographers. Could not isolate if this work was done by one of the artists referred to in that google search. It is a good piece and the markings on the lower left of the canvas state "Dakota" , Daley, 1940. Obviously it was to be sold for $250 in 1940. The address of the artist at that time was 1671 N. Prospect Avenue. I assume that was in Milwaukee but not for sure. The painting measures 26 x 39 inches. The frame does not appear be be as old as the painting but was an excellent job framing that painting. It measures 31 x 44 inches. The scene is of an old Grain elevator which according to the title must of been in one of the Dakota's. That grain elevator looks like a lot or old grain elevators I have seen in wheat country. When I was young I went to wheat harvest for six Summers from towns on the Oklahoma-Texas border to a little town called Lambert, Montana, West of Sidney, so have seen a lot of similar grain elevators. It is an attractive well done work of art. Just do not know how famous the artist was or became. PRICE: $2450Picture

WA065PICTURE OF LONE WOLFVersions of this scene of a lone wolf standing in snow overlooking houses has been around for a long time. I can recall seeing a version of this scene in my one room school house when I was in the first grade back in 1942. This wolf looks to the left. Some look to the right. There is no copyright date or artist name on this one. It is one of the smallest I have seen. It measures 4-3/8th x 5-7/8ths. The picture is pressed onto the pressed wooden frame. It was probably a "dime store" item. Itis neat and brings back memories. PRICE: $20Picture

He was born in Amsterdam and from the Dutch School. There is a name tag on the back of what appears to be a previous owner. The address was in Pittsburg, Kansas with no zip code on the address. The write up state the artist has expressed a feeling of melancholy which nature produces on a winder day. It is an interisting old print. I did a google search on the artist and he lived from 1856 to 1917. He is listed as an artist whose works bring in the top 9000 prices at auction. Neat old print. PRICE: $90Picture

WA053-GROUP OF GRIPSAll of these grips are for Colts and most are for First Generation Colt Single Action Army models. Over the years I have purchased a nice pair of grips when I can find them at a reasonable price. A difficult task anymore. I purchase them to put on a gun that I want to keep in my collection and the grips on that gun are not the correct ones for the gun. The old ivory grips on the lower right are off of a Model 3 first model that is the rare Henry caliber. I purchased that gun years ago at one of the Vegas shows. Later I saw a Model 3 first model at auction at the Rock Island auction in Moline, Ill. That was a poor gun with great snake and eagle grips. I love those style of ivory grips so I paid $1700 for that gun even back then. I put those grips on the gun I wanted to keep and then discovered the ivories on that firearm were actually numbered to the firearm. I still liked the snake and eagle grips on the gun so left them on the gun and kept the original ivories to the gun. Then I sold the gripless Model 3 to someone else. I was not going to put the numbered ivory grips on that Model 3 and sell it. Now I just have two pair of grips for the same gun. If I every would sell my keeper Model 3, I would put the original grips back on the gun and add the Snake and Eagles to my grip collection. NFSPicture

WA046-WA049 SET OF 4 PRINTSThis is a very attractive contempory set of 4 number prints by artist Richard Hall. The artist was born in England and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and post-graduate teaching certificate from Brighton Art College. The artist became enchanted with Native American Art through his wife, a resident Arizonan with a background of culture and art of the area. Richard Hall’s originals are in collections around the world and his work is represented in selected galaries throughout the Southwest. This is a set of 4 prints all numbered 271 of 1000 and signed by the artist. They were created in a litho offset four color process on 185# Archival Museum Board, acid free with neutral PH. A colorfast ink was used, fade resistant, with permanent inks specially formulated for fine art reproductions. Arizona lithographers used a Heidelberg Kord 46 x 64 cm offset printing press. They are all framed and matted. The frame is oak and outside dimensions are 15-1/2 x 19-1/2. The print is 8-1/2 x 11. This is a beautiful set and I hate to admit it but my camera work did not capture the complete essense of their beauty. I have each one shown seperately below with one picture showing the complete framed print and a second picture showing a close up of the print. PRICE FOR SET: $395.

WA022-CHINESE BRONZE VESSELThis a very interesting antique Chinese bronze animal vessel. The bronze has the green coloring on it that comes with decades and centuries of aging. It measures 8 inches in length, 6 inches in height and 2-1/2 inches in width. I am not sure what animal figure this bronze represents. In Chinese history during the Shang Dynasty bronze vessels of many types in the shapes of animals and birds were created for use in burial ceremonies. Such ceremonies created such a demand that the technology of metallurgy advanced rapidly. I am not for certain that this item is from the time of the Shang Dynasty but it does have the look. Regardless of what period it is from, it is an archaic work of Chinese Art and is very attractive. On the bottom there appears to have been a round tag stuck to it at some point in time. I do not know when or why. PRICE: $975Picture
